Baby Talk
Pumpkin is an incredibly verbal baby.
My memory of Olive was a baby who, in the interval between a few days and a few months old, basically didn't use her voice. She cried, of course, but otherwise was silent. She wanted to observe and figure things out, not talk about it. It was a really big deal when she started vocalizing!
Pumpkin has never stopped saying things. He pretty much sticks to vowel sounds for now, but he's explored the whole range of vowels that his mouth can form. More than that, he's started vocalizing somewhat predictably, in certain circumstances. After he sneezes, he'll often utter a disgusted "uhh". When presented with the breast to feed, he'll typically give an excited "ooh!"
It doesn't mean anything yet, but he is very cute.
